As the year 2023 gently folds its pages, we find ourselves in that cherished season of Thanksgiving and reflection. November holds a special place in our hearts, for it’s a time when our family consciously pauses to count our blessings. We are grateful, primarily, for our loved ones, our health, the moments we share, and the new souls who’ve crossed our path and have become cherished friends in this remarkable journey of life.
In the tapestry of 2023, we’ve seen threads of both struggle and triumph, a year that stretched our limits and tested our resolve. Amidst these challenges, one comforting truth stood resolute—we were never alone. For us, family is the cornerstone, second only to our unwavering faith, followed closely by the strength of the community that surrounds us. These three pillars—God, family, and community—infuse our lives with richness and purpose.
The story of Estancia Natura began as a dream more than two decades ago. We envisioned a vibrant community rooted in faith, a community committed to uplifting one another, unafraid to dream boldly. At the heart of our dream was the spirit of hospitality, a fundamental tenet of the Gospel, the good news of Jesus. Regardless of one’s spiritual path, it’s undeniable that Jesus knew the art of loving this neighbor. This ethos beats at the core of our small team at Spirit Mountain—we stand together, come what may, ensuring that our guests experience the warmth of care and the embrace of safety.
We’ll readily admit, we’re far from perfect. Mistakes have been made, and lessons learned, all part of the journey in our quest to build a thriving community. In recent dialogues with our current Estancia Natura community members and our friends who share our aspirations, a common theme consistently emerges—the bedrock of our shared values and a fervent desire to foster a community founded on respect and trust.
As we give thanks for the past 20 years, we extend our gratitude to all of you who’ve contributed to this enriching odyssey. We reflect upon the blessings bestowed upon us by our participation in this community throughout the past year. And now, our hearts are filled with anticipation for the dawn of 2024, as the dreams nurtured over two decades begin to take tangible form.
